There is only on way to get to heaven and that is though the Lord. We have all sinned. It says in the bible that ‘The Lord’s hand is not too short to save, and His ear is not too deaf to hear. But your iniquities (sin) have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen.’ Isaiah 59:1-2. But God is willing to take that sin away. Before we become saved we are like greedy caterpillars, eating sin. We become full up and bulging with sin. Then we go inside the pupa. The pupa is like the prayer asking God to forgive us. When we emerge we are great beautiful creatures transformed by God. It is like being born again. God loves you very much because he made you! The Lord wants us all to be saved and to become a part of his big family of people who are saved. To become saved you have to just kneel down, and say that you love the Lord for sending his only son to die on the cross and that you are sorry for your sins and really mean inside your heart. Here is a prayer that you may want to copy: Oh Lord, please come into my life and take away all of my sins for I believe that your son Jesus died for my sins, Amen. You don’t have to copy that prayer, you can make up one of your own. If you have become saved you can look forward to an eternity in heaven with the Lord when you die. Heaven is a wonderful place. There is no pain, no suffering, no crying and no death. If you do not get saved before you die, you will have to go to hell for eternity, where you will be punished. Remember eternity is forever! One day Jesus will come back this earth to judge who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. But how will we know when the end of the world will be? It says in the Bible, ‘As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no-one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of the birth-pains (end of the world).’ Matthew 24:3-8 But it also says in the Bible, ‘No-one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son (Jesus), but only the Father.’ Matthew 24:36 Also in the Bible it says, ‘and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken (to heaven) and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.’ Matthew 24:39-41 Once you have became saved you should try to live each day to please God. Two good ways of doing this are reading the bible and praying. Also you can use the devotionals on this website or buy a devotional book. Try to encourage other Christians in your community by singing praises to God together or reading the bible together. Try and get other people to become Christians, maybe suggest this website to them. |
